hey! hey! hey!
so its June, well okay now its almost July and schools out for summer [its almost out for ever, and one can only hope its been blown to pieces] needless to say this month has been busy as fuck! heres a recap...quick style:

1. i had finals the second week of june, they went okay i got my grades last week and i passed [thankgod] a couple classes with the skin of teeth mainly because this semester was sorta whack AND i dropped a class but missed the drop date so i got a fat "F" that brought my GPA down a bit...totally lame!
dont ever miss the drop date. ever!

2. i went to see my good friends the binges [myspace.com/thebinges] play at the Viper room on the 4th and as always was completely blown away by their sheer rawkness. they own!

3. while at that show i saw Pride Tiger [myspace.com/pridetiger], who ive always missed whenever they have come to town. i was pleased. they f-ing rock, like valient thorr only more raw and badass. they score even more points since their drummer is their singer [and he looks like a heath ledger, if heath was a drummer and if he didnt die :'-( ]

4. at that same show i was floored by Dead Sara [myspace.com/deadsara] and their set. this is a band you should probably get to know before they blow up to be insanely huge super quick or they turn out to be one of L.A.'s most under-rated bands...either way they are intense, in a good way so get to know them, listen to them and love them.





5. the following week i was with Mishmash Magazine and we caught up with Pop Noir [myspace.com/popnoir], check this vid out and then check out the photos below. they really are stand up lads. also, i was super excited cuz i had not seen NinJess in like for ever and we finally got to hang for a bit, shes pretty rad if you didnt already know.

6. i also saw the Wombats [myspace.com/thewombatsuk] that night. i missed them out at SXSW this year but have been listening to their stuff for awhile now so it was only appropriate to stick around for their set, plus CSS did a rad remix of "kill the director" which scored them major pointage in my book and it should in yours too, so go download it asap.




7. Mishmash Mag sent me out to the Honda Center in anaheim to cover Motion City Soundtrack for the night so i met up with our staff writer Joe for the show.
before we get to photos...some things that disappointed me about that night:
-i got lost in the honda center looking for my photo pit escort and somehow wound up backstage...and spent 15mins trying to find my way back to where i had walked in in the first place, very confusing. who knew that place was sooo ginormous?
-i didnt see any hondas, not even one :(
-i got kicked out of the photo pit when panic at the disco came on because apparently i wasnt wearing the right badge or something ??? it was the same photo pass as everyone else ...totally lame!




btw fyi im out at the Sunset Strip Music Fest this week/weekend and will get back to uploading/blogging when i return...[leave a message at the beep!]
